Land Life Company is a technology-driven reforestation company with the mission to help restore the worlds’ 2 billion hectares of degraded land. We plant trees at scale across the globe to kickstart ecosystems and the communities that depend on them. We are an international scale-up based in the Netherlands with local teams in Spain and the US, as well as growing projects in Australia and West Africa for 2021.
In Northern Spain we work with public and private landowners and local communities to restore and reforest degraded land. In addition to regenerating large swaths of land in rural areas, we promote biodiversity enhancement and also support conservation efforts for iconic wildlife. This area is at high risk of rural depopulation and climate change.
In the 2021-22 planting season, we are restoring over 4,000 hectares of land globally, planting over 3 million trees mainly in Spain, Portugal, Ghana, the US, Iceland and Australia. We are looking to add an Operations Manager to our growing team based in Burgos, who will be responsible for designing and executing projects in Northern Spain and Portugal.
This is the role
We are looking for a proactive individual with a background in technical design of reforestation, conservation, biodiversity or other environmental projects who is motivated to work independently and alongside team members, and enjoys dividing their time between the office and on the field. We are looking for someone with curiosity and knowledge of local geographies and land use. This person will be based in Burgos, with regular travel across the country for site assessments as well as sporadic travel to Amsterdam headquarters. The Operations Manager reports to the Regional Director in Spain.
